Problems

Arsenic contamination has penetrated the ground water table across West Bengal, and not all regions are covered by the various surface water schemes. The Government wanted a solution to mitigate the menace of Arsenic poisoning.


Solution

Our Design Team brainstormed the issues with the problems related to the current ground water technologies. The issues with respect to service and maintenance of the treatment units was the one that was affecting the Government schemes in dealing with the Arsenic menace.
The Water ATM was conceptualised with the idea that it should be easy to deploy and completely automatic and should involve least human interference, we achieved all the above.


Reach

The Water ATMs are installed in more than 130 schools across the Arsenic affected regions of North 24 Paraganas in West Bengal serving more than 1 million students per day.


Features

Completely Automatic Water Purification Plant

The Water ATM is a compact and automatic Arsenic, Iron and Bacteria Removal plant; bearing a capacity of 1000 LPH. The plant has an operating life of more than 10 years. The IEC Display Device can be used for sharing health and hygiene information. It also has an optional feature of connecting to the Internet.
The Water ATM can be fitted with a 2G/3G Device for transmitting data to our central servers for data analysis and monitoring.
